THE HEALTH OF THE
DOCTRINE OF JESUS # 7FIRM IN HIS
DOCTRINE(1
Timothy 4:1) "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will
abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and doctrines of
demons."
INTRODUCTION:Paul
had instructed Timothy to shepherd the church of Ephesus as the apostle
misionaba, well ahead of Paul had warned on arrival in the congregations of the
false teacher, "wolves in sheep's clothing" to scatter the sheep through satanic teachings. The
order received Timothy was to stand firm on sound doctrine he had received,
searching the scriptures daily, others teach pure doctrine and authority bravely
face these false prophets. Today, you and I
are Timothy, and that order is for us. We
can not prevent apostasy arises, but we can prevent it from reaching our own
lives and congregations.
THE CHRISTIAN
SHOULD PREPARE AGAINST apostasy. We will answer
three important questions:
I What is
apostasy?According
to what the Scriptures reveal apostasy is: Renegar and departing from the true
path. In
John 14:6 we read, "Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life no one comes
to the Father except through me." So apostasy is to deny Jesus. (Mt
10:33) says: "But whosoever shall deny me before men, I will disown him before
the Father in heaven."
Apostasy can
encompass two separate aspects,BUT RELATED:1)
A person apostate when he rejects all or some of the original teachings of
Christ or the apostles. In
(1 Timothy 4:1), Paul noted that the Holy Spirit says some faith refuse diverted
from teaching listening holy doctrine. (Ephesians
2:20) says that "we are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
with the chief cornerstone Jesus Christ."
2)
also falls into apostasy moral, that is when the believer ceases to abide in
Christ and again become a slave of sin and immorality. We
read in (Isaiah 29:13) "Because this people draw near me with their mouth and
honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, and their fear is but
a commandment of men who have been taught. '(Mt
23:28) Jesus speaking to the religious of the time: "So you also outwardly
indeed appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and
iniquity."
What then? Shall we sin
because we are not under law but under grace? In any way.
Do
you not know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you
are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness? V-23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord. "(Romans 6:15-16, 23); (Ro.8 :6-8)" For the mind the
flesh is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the
carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can and those who are in the flesh can
please God. "Finally in (Titus 1:16)" They profess to know God, but in works
they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good
work. "
II WHO
depart?1.
- BE UPON THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE SALVATION AND LIKED HER AND
BENEFITS.Unfortunately
of course, can not deny the faith those who have never had. An apostate yesterday today
was a Christian. Read
more scriptures: (Mt 24:24) "For false Christs and false prophets, and shall
show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." Do you
realize? If
possible, even the elect these demonic doctrines continue to be deceived.
In
(Acts 3:12-15) Paul exhorts the church: "Peter saw it, said to the people: Men
of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or
why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man
walk? The
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his
servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when
he had decided to release him. But
you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer to be granted
unto you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, whereof
we are witnesses. " The
apostle urges us to remain faithful to what we have believed in the scriptures,
it is also our duty to exhort one another so that we take care of each other to
avoid falling out of the way and that is Christ.
2. - NOT LOVED THE WORD OF
GOD.(MT22
:29-33) we read the words of Jesus to the Sadducees: "Ye do err, not knowing the
Scriptures nor the power of God For in the resurrection they neither marry nor
are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven . But
concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken
unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God
of Jacob? God is not God of the dead
but of the living. Hearing
this, the people were astonished at his doctrine. "
Ignorance
of the will of God described in the Bible leads us to commit errors that often
cause much damage to the Lord's work, In (Mark 12:10-11) we read when the Lord
rebukes some of his ignorance of the Scriptures and the
fulfillment of prophecy, saying: "Dost not you read this scripture: The stone
which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner, The Lord has done
this, and it is marvelous in our eyes?"These
by their lack of love for the Word of God does not scrutinize, for them to grow
is later.It
is proved that a poorly nourished child will have problems with their growth,
will wimp, is fertile ground for diseases, including their intelligence will be
decreased. Similarly,
one who does not feed your spiritual life with God's word will have problems
with your spiritual growth will be a wimp and Satan will have found fertile
ground to sow his tares. It's
so easy to turn to those who have no roots in the Word.In
(Acts 5:11-14) "And great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard
these things. And
by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders among the people, and
they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. Of
the others, none dared to join them, but the people magnified them. And
believers in the Lord, multitudes both of men and women. "
(Hebreos5
:11-14) "Paul says: About this we have much to say, and hard to explain, since
you have become dull of hearing. Ye
ought to be teachers, after all this time, ye have need that one teach you again
which be the first principles of the oracles of God, and are become such as have
need of milk, and not of strong meat. And
everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness:
for he is a babe But solid food is for those who are of full age, even those who
by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil
".
Apart
from spiritual immaturity, lack of appreciation for the holy word leads them to
an indifference to the warnings of the Holy Spirit against the flesh.
When
you do the time, read, please, Matthew Chapter 23: You'll find this indifference
plotted and hardness of heart of the scribes and Pharisees. We
have already read in Chapters 6 and 8 of Romans about that living according to
the flesh makes us slaves to sin and like Christ and freed us from that slavery
is absurd returning.
3. - Who heeded THE
DOCTRINES OF DEMONSAnd to
seducing spirits.In
(Hchos 26:29-30) Paul himself says, "Paul said, would to God that little or a
lot, not only you but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am,
except these
bonds when she had said these things, the king arose, and the governor, and
Bernice, and they that sat with them. "Of
course, at first the slip is so soft it is almost imperceptible, and the line of
freedom and debauchery is so thin you will not even realize when they're on the
other side but with increasing diversion, as is obvious for
others.In
(2 Corinthians 2:17) "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God, but
as of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God speak we in
Christ." Paul
talks about those who benefit falsifying the word of God, to the surprise of
many, no innocence about it, these people do not err, but willingly adulterate
the divine message. Oh,
Lord, how great is the condemnation that awaits!
III WHAT ARE THE
CONSEQUENCES for apostates?In (Mt 12:22-36)
"How much then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is
lawful to do good on the sabbath days. Then he said to the man,
Stretch out your hand. He stretched
it out, and it was restored whole as the other. Then
went the Pharisees, took counsel against Jesus to destroy him. Knowing
this, Jesus withdrew from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and healed
them all, and charged them not make him known to be fulfilled which was spoken
by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I
have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit
upon him, and shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. Not
contend, nor cry, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets. A
bruised reed he will not break, and smoking flax not quench, till he judgment
unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles.
Then
was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb: and he healed him, so that the
blind and dumb both spake and saw. And
all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But
when the Pharisees heard it, said, This man casts out demons only by Beelzebub,
the prince of demons. Jesus,
knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is
brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not
stand. And
if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself, how shall then his
kingdom stand? And
if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your children cast? Therefore they shall be your judges.
But
if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then you have come to the kingdom of
God. Else
how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he
first bind? And
then he will spoil his house. He
that is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
Therefore
I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but blasphemy against
the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone
who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks
against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this world or the next.
Either
make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit
corrupt: for the tree is known fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you speak good, being evil?
Because of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A
good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and
an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But
I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give
account on the day of judgment. "
We
read about the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, Jesus says no pardon for him
who commits this sin.Please
carefully and analyzing all writing discernment put much attention to the
following: (Ephesians 1:13) "In whom ye also trusted, after you heard the word
of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised
Holy Spirit. " (Ephesians
4:30) "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the
day of redemption." (Isa
63:10) "But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore they became the
enemy, and he fought against them" (1 Cor 6:19) "Know ye not that your body is
the temple of Holy
Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own ".
(Philippians
4:3) "Also I beg you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me
in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow, whose names are in the
book of life." (Apo.3:
5) "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not erase
his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father
and before his angels." (Apo.22:
19) "And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God
shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city and from the
things which are written in this book." (Hebrews
6:4-6) "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have
tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and
have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the coming age, and
fall
away, to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves
the Son of God and put Him to open shame. "If
you take offense to such a degree the Holy Spirit of God, if life in Christ is
so poor, if desoímos the voice of God, warning against the flesh, and if we go
further towards the opposing doctrines taught by Christ ,
what can we expect but the Holy Spirit away from this former believer?
If
the Spirit who will convict of sin the sinner?, Who will take you to repentance?
Who will
guide rightly? If
there is no conviction of sin, no repentance, if there is no repentance, no
forgiveness of sins, if there is no forgiveness, no salvation. Therefore,
the result of the great apostasy, away from the Lord, is eternal damnation.
(Acts
6:4-6) "And ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.
Pleased
the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy
Ghost, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte
of Antioch: Whom they set before the apostles , who prayed,
they placed their hands ".
IV HOW CAN I BE
DELIVERED (A) OF THE apostasy?1. - Consecration to the Lord. To consecrate is departing for Jesus.
This
does not mean leaving the family and abandoned the duties of this land.
It means that
God, and only God rules my existence.(Isaiah
55:6-7) "Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
Let
the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him
return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He
will abundantly pardon. "
2. - STUDYING SCRIPTURE
daily in prayer.(John
5:39) "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal
life: and they are they which testify of me;"
Imitate
the famous brothers of Berea who after hearing Paul's words in Scripture
immediately investigated to see if what the apostle was saying was true.
(Acts
17:10-13) "Immediately, the brothers sent Paul and Silas by night unto Berea.
And they
arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. These
were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all
readiness, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
So
many of them believed, and Greek women of distinction, and not a few men.
When
the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that Berea was preaching the word of God
by Paul, were there, and stirred up the people. " Acts
also tells of Apollos (Acts 18:24) "was an eloquent man, and mighty in the
Scriptures."Timothy
was taught in the Scriptures from childhood through her mother and grandmother.
Know
the God we serve, and the most direct routes are prayer and
Scripture.
3. - WORKING THE GIFTS
GIVEN TO EACH AND CHURCH.(1
John 4:1) "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they
are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the
world."From
all that we have been chosen by God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and
discipled in the Sound Doctrine of Jesus there is none who is naked, God does
not send us to war without all the equipment prior to the end to stay in
victory. Unfortunately,
most Christians live a pitiful existence in defeat because they have not the
slightest idea of the authority and power with which Christians have been
invested, and all this WHY? BECAUSE WE DO NOT
KNOW THE SCRIPTURES.
4. - BROTHERS teaching sound
doctrine. So
important is this point that Paul never tired of saying to his disciples.
Let's read some verses
about:
(1
Timothy 4:6-11) "If thou put the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of
Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine which you
have followed. Dispose of profane and old wives tales. Yourself in godliness
,
for bodily exercise is of some value, but godliness is profitable for all
things, having promise of the life, and the next. saying is sure and worthy of
all acceptation. therefore we both labor and suffer reproach,
because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of
those that believe. things command and teach. "(2
Timothy 2:2) "What you heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful
men who will be able to teach others also."(2
Timothy 4:1-2) "I charge thee before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall
judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom: Preach the word,
be urgent in season and out of season, reprove , rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. "(Titus
2:1) "You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine."
5. - Denouncing the work of the
enemy. Unfortunately,
Satan has deceived a part of the Body of Christ, for fear of falling into
authoritarianism has tended to remove the holy discipline that prevailed in the
early church. Today,
the brothers can not be saying anything or otherwise offended, and many leaders
not to diminish in number choose to make a blind eye to irregularities and even
sins in congregations. With
this system satan has its doors open to work in evangelical groups, but Paul
urges unmask the enemy.(Titus
1:13-15) "This testimony is true Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be
sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men,
that turn from the truth. All
things are pure to the pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving
nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
"(Titus
2:15) "These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Nobody
despise you."(Jude
1:3) "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common
salvation, I had to write and urge you to contend earnestly for the faith which
was once delivered unto the saints."
CONCLUSION:
The Holy Spirit tells us clearly that they manifest the wicked-the-antichrist
apostasy within the church arise, Christians without roots for not loving or
search the Scriptures, pay attention to doctrines of demons that false teachers
ensure the
dissemination.The
Lord well in advance announcing the apostasy comes for us to prepare and not
that we're going to be misled by neglecting the Word. Paul,
John and Peter talk constantly to care for and endure sound doctrine in the Word
to fight Satan, his false teachers and apostasy. At
this moment, the Holy Spirit is speaking to you:
"Take
heed to yourselves, lest they lose what you have worked for, but may win a full
reward." (2 John 8).
(Deuteronomy
30:10-19) "When you obey the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments
and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul . For
this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is
it far. It
is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and
bring it to us and we will hear to do it? Neither
is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go for us the sea to bring
it to us and we do hear, in order to do it? For
close to you is the word, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe.
See,
I have set before you today life and good, death and evil: For I command you
today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his
commandments and his statutes and his judgments, to
live and multiply, and the LORD thy God may bless thee in the land whither thou
goest to possess it. But
if your heart turns away and not obey, and forsake you astray, and worship other
gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish, not
prolong your days in the land whither ye go over Jordan to go in possession of it. At
call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you
life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and
thy seed. "
