The prophetic word. (1 John 4.1).
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God"
Text: 2 Tim 4.1-4: "I charge thee before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom, 2May Preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, reprove , rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers after their own lusts, 4 and turn away from listening to the truth and turn aside to myths. ".
v.1. A solemn mandate. What makes front 1) God the Father and God the Son and 2) the Judge of all the earth, living and dead. It certainly is a solemn warning!.v.2. The nature of the mandate: (a) preach the word.-We are not asked solemnly else to preach the Word, the Word only, nothing else.-A sister told us what we were doing in the church to preach the Bible expositionally, it was good, we had to preach "what the Holy Spirit to give us."-A pastor I know, members of his church told him to stop preaching the Bible therefore, that this was not relevant and current, that I had to do was take out newspaper articles and applications, though it was present and relevant.-What the Holy Spirit has given us is the Word, if we make a preaching "spiritual" we must stick to the Word, all you get out of this measure is not spiritual.-Solemn instructions Paul gives his young partner are simple: Preach the Word, be sure to preach the Word, preach only the Word of God.-The content of our preaching must be the Word, otherwise we are found false teachers.(B) A TIME AND OUT OF TIME.-This means CONTINUOUSLY. At all times, the work of the teachers did not stop teaching it, and the work of every believer is to admonish and exhort one another with the Word (Col 3.16).-Some tire of the Word, tired of hearing the same sermons always, without leaving the borders of the Word of God, they are curious to hear new things, but we have to come back again and again to the Word ("I here that the word of Jehovah is shameful thing, not love "Jer 6.10 and 19).- Would it be appropriate for us to do a break to hear anything other than the Word of God, What we took the word vacation?. The text says: in season and out of time.v.3. Those who oppose the mandate.A) No experience with sound doctrine. Only the "bad" doctrine. The bad or false doctrine is what the apostles never preached, most absurd speculations, the teachings that excuse sin, that God made man small and large, to flatter human vanity, who promise prosperity, health, etc ...-Today we see a bit of it all: that Jesus died to give us physical healing, that poverty is a sin, that God gives you 100 times more than offerings, that poverty is a sin or lack of faith, and that all diseases are caused by demons. These are a few examples of false doctrines.-There is sound doctrine and bad doctrine, and we must be very alert to discern. Sound doctrine is as healthy food, healthy makes you a Christian, focused on Christ and obey Christ. The bad doctrine is a spoiled food without nutritional value, is palatable, but a Christian makes you sick, obsessed with everything but Christ and obey Christ, obsessed with tongues, healings, the laughter, the fall , wealth, etc ...B) A morbid curiosity.'I've seen, and every time I see more immature believers who claim to be teachers (1 Tim 1.7-pretend to be teachers of the law without understanding what they say) who are obsessed with very minor issues of Scripture, or speculation or evil doctrines ( a brother came to the teaching of the latter rain, according to a teaching which speaks of OS 6.3 and the latter rain, concluded what was to come a second Pentecost).-The children will not eat vegetables, just sweet, they get bored with the vegetables. If a child you gave only eat candy instead of healthy food, and never want to eat vegetables also get fat child, and would be sick. The Word of God is the healthy food is the one you need, it makes you stronger (1 Peter 2.2).'That makes it unhealthy curiosity lift "super teachers", they call themselves "pastor of pastors, the anointed, the anointed thrice, the apostle, the prophet," say something new, fascinating things, but even interesting to hear end up hurting you.-The worst that can happen is that you become a curious, someone who always wants to hear something new, people are always jumping from church to church, cult worship revival revival, from teacher to teacher, always looking for the latest spiritual fashion.-Such people, according to v. 3b. surround themselves with teachers who specialize in these doctrines, specialized talk about what they like. One loves spiritual warfare, another passionate about the subject of prosperity, or the healings, and are looking for a church that does a lot of emphasis on that.-According to 3b, all that we are merely curious desires, ie lust disguised desire for spiritual knowledge. So they suit your desires (as their sins Wanted teachers).v.4. They turn to fables. He says he no longer hear the truth and get to hear fables. What are fables?, Are stories that never happened, but people love to hear. That I do not know where he resurrected the dead, someone had a vision that says that starting next year revival. Fables.-In modern Christian books (many of which come as news in our bookstores) are many fables. Many of the books sold on prayer today, almost everyone who speaks of spiritual warfare, much of which deal with aspects of psychology and self-esteem, and of course all that talk about prophecies and revelations.-A bookseller friend of mine calls these books "apocrypha" and has hidden.-If you turn away even a few minutes of listening to the truth and you start to pay attention to myths, happen to begin to feel some itching (itching), and very curious, these fables what you do is satisfying, but only for few minutes, because soon you need more, so always hungry and always end up feeding on that evil spiritual food. Not so with the Word of God.-The Word of God not only stands out from the fables that is true, and infallible, and a sure guide, but truly satisfies our spiritual hunger.

The way of truth blasphemed.
Text: 2 Peter 2.1-2: "1Pero there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. "
v.1. There were false teachers. In ancient times there were false prophets in Israel (Jer 5.31), and in Israel there are also new, it should not shock us, but we must be alert!, How can we be aware?, Being well aware of the Word.-In the past, when the canon of Scripture was closed, much of the teaching was oral narratives "authorized" were passed by the apostles to the church, and the apostles were those who decided on matters of doctrine. The apostles died, but was the basis of the written Word of God, and she is the authority.Above-even of all is the Word of God.v.2. Introduce destructive heresies.-The work of these men and women are veiled, they do slowly and without attracting attention, never go ahead, and when introduced into a church do not usually publicly, but spreading their doctrines among the weaker brethren.-They say they are introducing heresies, and these are destructive. Dust Han people are evil teachings that harm the recipient. They are destructive because almost all of the false teaching is ready to enrich whoever preaches. Sea to sell books, or to receive offerings. And that brings economic ruin of the followers of this doctrine. They are destructive in the spiritual sense, because many who follow shipwrecked regarding the faith (1 Tim 1.19), leaving his relationship with the Lord and the Church.-Consequently (V.1.c) many of these end up denying doctrines of the Lord to the person, the nature of his work on the cross, and his resurrection.v.3. Cause blasphemy among unfamiliar with the gospel.-This is a particularly serious aspect of these doctrines. Unbelievers, on hearing these atrocities, and the destructive consequences in the lives of those who follow these doctrines, and the lives of pastors and teachers who teach (his bad testimony, his life of sin, stealing their profits and wealth to People of God) end up cursing the way of truth.- Are we seeing this?, Decidedly yes, arrive to a city when false teachers, some come with your TV and radio, others arrive by the Internet, or literature, nonbelievers end up saying, "we were right, This gospel is to upset people, for people who are emotionally ill, which are left suggestible, that the gospel is a business that serves to enrich a few, so I have to repent, and believe in Jesus Christ, no heaven no hell, no judgment, all lies, all are deceived. "-The destructive heresies hurt the same pastors who teach (Pr 16:18 "Before destruction is pride before a fall and a haughty spirit"), these people have a lot of power (in these large churches in which there is one pastor, has tremendous power, and not have to answer to anyone), this power and wealth end up corrupting the once was a servant of God, and the evil of what perverted doctrines and have increasing cases of pastors who commit adultery with choir members, pastors who defraud and embezzle church funds.
The purpose of sound doctrine.
Text: Ephesians 4.11-14 "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the 12th the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13hasta that all come in the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14To no longer be children, tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men in their deceitful craftiness of deceitful scheming. "
v.11-13. God gives gifts to the maturity of the Body.-V.11. God has given different gifts in the Church in order to perfect the saints, train, train and mature.-We all need this "improvement" spoken of in the text, if we are not learning we are not being perfected.-The measure of maturity is Christlikeness.v.14. The consequences of maturity.-The purpose of that is mature and sophisticated we grow in Christlikeness, and one of the many consequences is that we will not be deceived by the evil doctrines.-For those who follow them are called "children tossed" ¸ how easy it is to deceive or distract a child!, Just divert your attention, and if something changes is easy care of a child. The person in the spiritual and doctrinal mature child is called fluctuating, because it is able to persevere, your attention is drawn to how much new doctrine appears.-They are called "wind of doctrine", the reason is that these doctrines are very changeable, are like fashions, each year there are new and old trends.-They are called "deceitful scheming", those skilled in these evil doctrines dig into a whole range of tricks and effective strategies to deceive people.Applications.- How to avoid falling into the wiles of error and the winds of new doctrines?, The context of our portion speaks of the gifts that God gives to the church and how the church unity occurs for gift exchange adequate growth. The best way to get away from the sound doctrine of the church is departing, stop going to meetings, off our spiritual zeal, cool down, leave the teaching of the Word and fellowship with other brothers.-When a person, due to leave the meeting, is weakened spiritually, then it is easy prey for these dazzling new teachings and spiritual vigor apparent from their teachers (who are all appearances).

The practice of the church.
Text: Acts 20.26: "Therefore, I declare to you today in that I am innocent of the blood of all men 27porque have not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God. 28Por Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know that after my departure enter in among grievous wolves, not sparing the flock. 30And of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Por Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I did not cease to admonish each one with tears. ".
The context:-Paul met the elders of the church at Ephesus, dedicated to them his last words in farewell and warning. With these words Paul justifies his ministry, saying that it has complied with this teaching the whole counsel of God, and warns them that after his death, among them elderly and from the same church will arise men teach false doctrines, and will abuse the brothers.v.27. Declare the whole counsel of God:-Paul's work in relation to the believers was a teaching job, his mission was to develop mature believers, able to disciple others, and prepare church leaders, setting them in the Word of God. That time spent in preaching the Word in the church and in the homes of believers (Acts 20.20).- What was it that Paul taught?, V.27 it says "the whole counsel of God", which is a clear reference to the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Paul, in the three years of his work among them (v.31) had not done anything, continually teach divine counsel. It was also a work to be multiplying as the believers were being prepared, says 2 Tim 2.2 "What you heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also", which were prepared by Paul, they became teachers, which in turn prepared others, returning to prepare others.-In the local church, we practice Paul's example and instructions in several ways: first by the expository preaching of the Word, and secondly through discipleship. What we teach in both is neither more nor less than the Word of God.v.29 ff. The reason to preach the whole counsel of God.- Why we must preach the whole Word?, There are many reasons, but Paul had a great fear, he knew that the greatest danger facing the church did not come from outside but from within, through the divisions and bad teachings. So Paul tells the elders: "you have to be alert, as soon as I start to go up the false teachers, but you are prepared, I have taught the whole counsel of God."

Conclusions and general applications.
-A fatal error is dependent on others in the church, and being negligent in your personal preparation. Relying too much on the preparation of the elders and teachers of the church, leaving you to examine for yourself what is taught.-A problem is believing the right things but not knowing why you think. For example, you believe in the Trinity or in baptism by immersion, or salvation by grace through faith, but you can not explain it in the Bible. Such a person may well be wrong to believe a doctrine, since it has not taken the time to examine it and compare it with the Bible.-A Christian starts to get old when you think you have already learned everything, and when listening to others will not let them finish sentences because they already know everything. That Christian begins, not only to age (spiritually), but to become proud, grumpy and create conflicts and problems.-We must have contact with the Word of God every day, and every day pray that the Lord give us hunger for His Word. That's the best way to be anchored in sound doctrine.-We must take advantage of every meeting to learn. At each meeting the Lord will teach us through several brothers many things, you have to be careful enough not to miss!. So brother with less knowledge of the church has something to teach you.-A good way to learn is to be willing to share what the Lord has taught. One brother told me recently that when learning is more when you can share the Word at home with his family. To teach you have to study, and then share when we return to be enriched. So as you get a chance share with everyone you can the Word of God (with unbelievers, with your family, with other brothers in the cell, in the meetings of the church).
