RATE THE GOSPEL

RATE THE GOSPEL
What do you value? In other words, what you think it is important? What do you care? The subject of this study is the gospel. Paul says at the beginning of the book of Romans: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16).
This message was brought Paul to traverse two continents, to suffer rejection and persecution and famine and shipwrecks, and much more, this message - the Gospel - is invaluable. Did you value?
Read more about this in (Romans 16:17-27) "17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own belly, and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 21 Timothy salute my partner, and Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my relatives. 22 I Tertius, who wrote the letter, greet you in the Lord. Os 23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church. Greets you Erastus, the city treasurer, and a brother. 24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. 25 And to whom you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of eternal God, has been made known to all nations for the obedience of faith, 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ. Amen. "
Before continuing, it is important to define the gospel. What is the gospel, the message worth valuing? The gospel is simply the message about Jesus, what He has done for us to be reconciled to God. It is the message of his life, his death on the cross and his resurrection. The gospel is the message of Jesus Christ.
For many people, that message has become just another fact. So as you know that Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492 and was president Benito Juarez in Mexico, they also know that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. On the death of Jesus may give the same importance as the other data.
When we understand the gospel, but also understand that it is something of immense value, much more valuable than any merely historical data. We will realize that it is of such value that it would be worthwhile to give your life for him. And perhaps for this reason, the gospel is under attack.
This point is so important that the apostle stopped giving greetings at the end of his letter with this warning. Beware, says, of those who come to cause divisions, and teach them the truths of different things they have already learned. (Rom 16:16,17) "16Saludaos one another with a holy kiss. I greet all the churches of Christ. 17Mas I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. "
Anything of value will always be in danger. If you lived near a common Gold Museum at night would hear gunfire between police and assailants. This museum will be invaluable, and constantly be under attack. It is for the same reason that banks carry their money in armored cars, the value is always in danger.
The gospel is in danger. There is the danger that someone will steal it, but the danger of being upset, being confused, being perverted or lost. Because it is so valuable, we must take care. I do not care for keeping it in a safe or taking in an armored car. What we care when we study the Word to understand what the gospel is and learn to live.(Mat 4:23) "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."(1 Peter 1:25) "But the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. "
Thus, we can recognize counterfeit gospel before us. We will realize when someone wants to preach a message that is not biblical, that is inconsistent with the true gospel. So learn, as Paul says, to be wise about what is good and innocent for evil. Rom 16:19 "For your obedience is come abroad to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise is good, and simple concerning evil."
It strikes me that we usually have the cunning evil. If someone tells a dirty joke, soon grabbed the hidden meaning. Our minds are ready for that kind of thing! But how many of us have worked to study and understand the gospel? How many have searched the Word to know well what Jesus did and why do we care? How many of us can explain it to someone else to understand it?
The gospel is under attack, and we have to care and storage. When we do, we understand the value of the gospel. Is that the gospel is the way to victory. Check out this verse (Ro.16: 20) "Very soon the God of peace shall bruise Satan under the feet of you ...".
It is true that the gospel is under attack, but that same precious gospel is the way to victory over our enemy. The reason that the gospel is worth defending because it's the only way to have real victory in life - and after death.
When Adam and Eve sinned, the Lord said to the serpent, a descendant of the woman would crush his head. That descendant was Jesus Christ. The serpent - Satan - was defeated on the cross. The remains influential in the world, and manages to fool many people. However, he has already been defeated.
We, by faith, we share the victory of Jesus Christ. This is the big news of the gospel! By faith we understand that our sin is forgiven, the enemy no longer has power over us and we are part of the new creation that God is preparing. Although currently still live in this world with its problems and diseases, we will soon be completely free.
WHAT WE HAVE GREAT HOPE! Do not let anyone steal it. Do not let that concern for worldly things rob you of the hope you have in Christ. Do not let the lure of worldly things rob you of the hope you have in Christ. In the Gospel we have a great treasure, because the gospel is the way to victory.
The value is also born of this gospel: the gospel exalts God. The value of anything having to do with their origin and material. For example, a gold coin is much more valuable than a copper coin, although both bring the same figure. The gold is more valuable than copper. (Isa 45:23) "By myself I have sworn, my mouth came word in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue will swear."
Similarly, the gospel is of such great value that comes from the heart of God, and exalts God. Let's read again verses 25 to 27 of Romans 16. Notice three things here about the gospel. First, the gospel was a secret for many centuries. "26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all nations for the obedience of faith, 27 to the only wise God be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. "
GOD'S PLAN WAS A MYSTERY. There was some foreshadowing, certain omens of what was going to happen that God gave through the prophets, but not fully disclose how God intended to save the world until Jesus came. The gospel is a valuable truth that many wanted to understand, but now has been revealed to us. (Luke 2:13, 13) "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men ".
SECOND, the gospel has as its purpose the obedience of all nations. It's not just for some nation, or people of a certain color or a certain language. The gospel reflects God's heart that beats with love for people of every tongue, tribe and nation.(Rom 14:10-12) "10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, 'to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
This also reflects the great value of the gospel. It is a medical disease applicable to every human being, not a universal cure has limited effectiveness. Only this kind of gospel might be worthy of God worldwide.
THIRD, the gospel takes supreme exaltation of God. When you and I came to understand the gospel, the only natural response is to worship and magnify God. He gets all the glory for saving us. He takes all the credit. In the cross, we come to understand our helplessness and our need for a Savior, and He deserves all the glory.(2 Thessalonians 2:13-17) "But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17 comfort your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and work. "
What value do you give to the gospel? How important is it in your own life? I want to encourage you to consider now the decisions you make every day. How much time you invest in learning more about the gospel? How much you strive to share with others? What value do you give? (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10) "For it is just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the angels of their power, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power, 10 when he shall come to be glorified in his saints and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) "(Ephesians 1:13-23).(Isa 54:17) "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. "I love the love that Christ has put in my heart to care for his flock which all of us eating the same nutritious green meadow when he comes to meet us with great faith and well nourished and strengthened in one hope.
