DEVELOPING A STRONG
CHARACTER
John
10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I am come that they
might have life and have it more abundantly."
Satan
is working in wanting to change the identity of the children of God.
He
originally lost their identity (Lucifer: seal of perfection) and became Satan,
adversary, opponent because he wanted to be like the Most High. He who opposes God, that's
Satan.
The
only ones who can be like God, are the sons of God. And that is your identity. Say: "I am a beloved child of
God."
The
identity was given to us the day we were born again and develop it for us to
form a character.
The
character begins with honesty with oneself, with the honesty with oneself.
Being fully intact
people.
Integrity
means: someone who is not divided into parts. God says: "Hey Israel
the Lord is one ...". Say, "is
one."
We
are a spiritual being, we have a mind, we live in a body. A
tripartite being, but that often is disintegrated, and if it is broken up is
because it is lacking in integrity. Lacking integrity is
to be separated from himself. How can a being disintegrated?
In
the spirit I think one thing, my mind I think another, and with the mouth speak
another.
Our
whole being has to become a whole and complete in Christ. So
we need to form a character and be totally honest: Being honest with ourselves
and with others.
Today
in every activity there is corruption, which is a problem of the same person,
something internal, is lack of well-formed character, being separated
itself.
Say:
"Christians are made to make a difference". It means that
the church is set to excel.
Many
times there is no difference in the lifestyles of Christians and non-Christians.
But we will succeed. Jesus
warned us about the role of the devil: "kill, steal and destroy." But
we can not kill, or steal, or destroy, not depend on it, but it depends on
us.
Now,
Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life in abundance ..." To reach the
fullness of life, to abound, I must do certain things. That
was what the apostle Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus, "until we all attain
the stature ...". Fullness, "the perfect man
...".
If
someone came to some destination in life and do not agree, you have to stop and
cause a change to the Word of God. Everyone
reaches their destination because forged or developed a character. The character of Christ in his
life.
Character
always has to do with doing what is right, has to do with obedience, with
transparency and it is possible to know the Word of God.
1 - God is the main
positive reference.2
- People who are believing and living in the word of God are his second positive
reference.
Reference:
those people with whom we spend more time and which absorb things. What we absorb? Attitudes, values,
behaviors and beliefs.
What is the identity of the church?
Be very favored. Then why do you live underdog?
Because
something is put into the heart, you have to take.No
one can put anything in my heart, but if I spend time with negative references,
I will influence their attitudes, their values, their
behavior.
When
I start to walk in the Word, automatically, a separation is made with those who
will not walk uprightly.Character
is the final result of the consequences that make me reach my destination.
Which
begins with the word of God, and the Word of God is Truth.
Good
character: wraps to do what I do so that others may prosper. The
true character becomes a producer always adding others.
The
type of character that God has determined what we learn to expect. But
also the kind of character that we develop is what will determine what other
people expect of us. What do you expect
the next generations of us? Leave
them unresolved conflicts to rise again to the Lord.
Proverbs
16:32 "Better is he that is slow to anger than the mighty, And he who rules his
spirit than he that taketh a city."
That is, self-discipline. To
be more than conquerors defeated living in a world we must govern our own lives
and our own spirit. In
other words, be self-disciplined.To
succeed I surround myself with people disciplined, positive people, people who
have goals, and to progress at the same time.People
who do not succeed in Christ, they usually do not because they are
undecided.
Undecided:
who has difficulty deciding, doubtful, yet undetermined. Lack
of determination is the presence of not having formed or developed, the
character of Christ in me.
Job
22:21 - 23 "Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall
come unto thee. Thee, the law
from his mouth,And
lay up his words in your heart. If
you return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built away iniquity far from thy
tabernacles. "
Only
God's friends (I am a friend of God) appears to us blessing. When I'm in the Lord will be
built. The character is
built, is formed.
Promises:
"You'll have more gold as dust, and stones of the brooks gold of Ophir, the
Almighty shall be thy defense, and have plenty of silver. For
then you will delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
You will
pray to him, and he will hear you, And you will pay your vows. Also
decree a thing, and it shall be established, and the light shall shine upon thy
ways. "Job 22: 24-28
It
means that indecision is no determination, and no lack of determination is by
having developed a character, in the character of Christ.Says,
"and light shine upon thy ways ..." ie "and will project efectuarás something
..." The certain are those incurred, the undecided are those who never
made.
A
full character leads me to make tough decisions that will lead me to my
destination, to achieve wholeness.Jacob,
a quiet man, means: stable, steady, steady, permanent. And
it also means, solid, firm, solid, dense, compact and strong. What is the strongest
quality of character? Persistence.
Jacob
changed her identity, but he kept the spirit of persistence, because he was a
quiet man.
Who
develops the character has to develop in Christ, evidenced from
persistence.
Your
perseverance will take you to achieve what you have not met! But you program yourself
for perseverance! Start
with character, continues with perseverance put into action.
