LOVE
IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF SOUND DOCTRINE OF CHRIST
(Rev
2:1-7) "1 To the angel of the church in Ephesus: He who holds the seven stars in
his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this: 2 I know
your deeds, and
your hard work and patience, and you can not tolerate wicked men, and thou hast
tried them which say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars:
and hast borne, 3 and hast patience, and hast hardships for my name, and
hast not fainted. 4
Nevertheless I have this against you: You have forsaken your first love.
5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent and do the first
works, because if not I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its
place-unless you repent. 6
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also
hate. 7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To
him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the
paradise of God "(Rev
2:15) "So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which
thing I hate."
You could
say that the church of Ephesus was a church pampered. It
was founded by Paul, pastored by Timothy, Apollos and assisted by other
prominent figures of the early church.
RECOGNIZES
THE LORD YOUR WORKS, AND YOUR HARD WORK AND PATIENCE
They
had spiritual discernment, because they proved to those who claimed to be
apostles and found them liars. They
had suffered, had worked hard and had fainted.
HAD
SOUND DOCTRINE: They hated the Nicolaitans who were doctrinally harmful
deviation.Any pastor would like
to pastor a church like that! What
was missing: "I have this against you: You have forsaken your first love" What
is the first love?
We have often
heard that love is the first time conversion. And this is based on the
experience of many. But
here the first love is the love of God, who is above all
loves.
"The love of loves."
What is leave the first love? When
anyone else, however good, ranking first in our life that only belongs to
Jehovah God.
The
Ephesians could be LOVERS OF GOOD WORKS, of labor, of patience, of SOUND
DOCTRINE OF CHRIST blessings, and even gifts.
(Ephesians
4:7-16) "7 But to each one of us is given grace according to the measure of
Christ's gift. 8
Wherefore he saith: Ascending on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts
to men.
9
And that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower
parts of the earth? 10
He that descended is the same also that ascended above all the heavens to fill
all. 11
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some evangelists,
and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work
of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until
we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro with every wind
of
doctrine, by the sleight of men in their deceitful craftiness the wiles of
error, 15 but speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who
is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, rather joined
and held together by every joint with which they help each other, according to
the working by which every part does its share grows and builds itself in love
".
The
SOUND DOCTRINE without love, is the cemetery of Grace.People
get tired of dead letter: But "LOVE NOT BORED".
What
makes a DOCTRINE SANA do Healing in all areas is the love of Jehovah God in
us.Jesus
Christ through the Apostle Paul mentions TWICE SOUND DOCTRINE, the SANA
EDUCATION, referring to the law that is set for the ungodly and all that is
opposed to the SOUND DOCTRINE.
(1
Timothy 1:9-11) "9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for the just but for
the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for unholy and
profane, for murderers of fathers and matricides to murderers,
10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, perjurers, and
whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, 11 according to the glorious gospel
of the blessed God, which I have been entrusted. "
And
encourages his disciple Timothy to preach the Word to urge in season and out of
time. Time
will come that will not suffer [bear] sound doctrine.
It is very healthy
to stand firm in the SANA TEACHING. We
must defend the sound doctrine, because all behavior that eventually crosses
carries great difficulties for the Church of the Lord Jesus.
There
has been talk that the Sound Doctrine IS THE CHRISTIAN MORAL. Christian morality
has its highest expression in purity. And if accompanied
purity of love.
Over
time I have seen men and women very jealous with flags that say they are and
teach the SOUND DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, and to dig a little in what they believe and
advocate, I discovered legalism, tradition and wander in the interpretation of
the Word carried away by their
emotions.This
almost always leads to spiritual pride and lack of
love.
The
Parable of the Pharisee and the publican is very expressive in this regard:
(Luke 18:10-13) "Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the
other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself :
'God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust,
adulterers, or even like this tax fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I
possess. And the publican, standing afar off, He
would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God be merciful
to me a sinner. "
(Luke
18:14) "I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles
himself will be exalted."The
Pharisee prayed to God, fasted, gave tithes, and so on.HAD
DOCTRINE DOCTRINE MANY STILL DEFEND.
BUT HAD NO
LOVE FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR HAD SPIRITUAL PRIDEThe tax was not worthy of God's eye.
His prayer was a confession of
repentance. But
God looked at the attitude of his heart and left justified rather than the
Pharisee.
The
constant pursuit of the Pharisees to Jesus, was because the Master was not
jealous enough of the law (broke the sound tradition of the elders) but the love
of Jesus led him to join the publicans and sinners.
Jesus
had to warn his disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and
Sadducees.(Luke
12:1) "By this, joining an innumerable multitude, so that they trampled one
another, he began to say unto his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the
Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."
(Mat
16:12) "Then they understood that he bade them not beware of the leaven of
bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees." They
could leaven the mass of men with their teachings, but were full of hypocrisy.
In
love stand the hypocrisy is worse than violence.
(Mark
10:17-22) "17 And when he was on his way, a man ran up and knelt before him,
asked him, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 18 Jesus said:
Why
call me good there is none good but one, God. 19 You know the commandments: Do
not commit adultery. shall not murder. not steal. not bear false witness.
Defraud not. Honour thy father and mother. '20 And he answered
and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then
Jesus beholding him loved him, and said: One thing you lack: go and sell all you
have and give to the poor, and have
treasure in heaven: and come, follow me cross. 22 And he grieved at that saying,
he went away sad, for he had great possessions. "
The
young man said he had kept all the commandments, and his presumption still asks:
"What do I still lack?" When Jesus
submitted to the test of love, is negative. It was sad because he had many
possessions. You
can almost say that the RICO WAS YOUNG SOUND DOCTRINE, but it is clear that
without love him much.
The
so-called Council of Jerusalem took place because of the Judaizers, who taught
that uncircumcised could not be saved. When
Paul and Barnabas arrived in Jerusalem, met the apostles, the church and the
elders: and after a long discussion, Peter stood up and said:(Acts
15:7-11) "7 ... Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God chose
that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
8
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy
Spirit just as we are, 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying
their hearts by faith. 10
Now therefore why do you test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a
yoke which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just
as they are ".
After
the summary was right where suggested sending an explanatory letter to the
churches to not inquietase Gentiles loads and traditions of the people of
Israel.In
(Acts 15:28) James says: "It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay
upon you no greater burden than these necessary things."
That
which for some was necessary to add to the death of Christ (salvation by grace)
advocates felt SOUND DOCTRINE OF CHRIST. They
understood that it was just and good circumcision, was a brand that prided them
since the days of the patriarch Abraham.
But
those who had tasted the grace of the Lord God through faith in the sacrifice of
Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit to understand that what the Gentiles was
a burden, unnecessarily burdensome.(Acts
15:16-17) "After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David
that is fallen, and repair its ruins, and I will set it up: that the residue of
men might seek after the Lord."The
tabernacle of David's place of worship, joy of praise and a genuine love for
God. And
this was happening in the midst of the nations and the coming of the Holy
Spirit.
The
Judaizers came to Galatia and there disturbed the disciples of the Lord with his
"SOUND DOCTRINE". Paul writes and calls them
fools and fools. In
his defense of justification by faith, Paul says some things exquisite and
necessary to today. Let's
see: (Galatians 2:21) "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness
could be law, then Christ died needlessly."
(Galatians
3:2-5) "This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of
the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the
Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the meat?
ye suffered so many things in vain? If it be yet in vain.
He
therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He
do it by the works of the law or by hearing with faith. "
The
psalmist David asks God in (Psalm 51:12) "Restore unto me the joy of thy
salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit." Paul
tells the Romans how to deal with different situations in this way: (Romans
12:12) "rejoicing in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in
prayer"
Located
twenty-first century prowl everywhere, subject traffickers gospel of Christ as
in the days that Christ walked on this earth, they want to add things to
salvation.They
focus their lens towards the most sensitive and most precious of the believer in
Christ, and try to cast doubt on our experience, our faith, we are part of the
remnant of Jehovah God, our joy as heirs of eternal life, want to put
questioned
the Sound Doctrine of Christ saying: That they are the majority and we inch even
though we all know that in the majority not the truth as before, everyone
believed that the earth was square and not because this was most the
truth.
And
on behalf of SOUND DOCTRINE want to add loads, world traditions, prohibitions
saying God told them, when God has said, days, meals, clothes, commandments of
men. One
thing they lack: Is love presiding SOUND DOCTRINE, which is not attributed God's
judgment on the fate of the creatures, but rejoices in the ineffable
grace.
