All text of Isaiah 58 emphasizes the place of repentance in the restoration. The whole concept of "the Holy Spirit and the restoration" is developed in. (Heb 12.26, 15.16-18 27/Hch)WRITING NOT ORDERED that Christians fast. There is something that God requires or demands of Christians. At the same time, the Bible presents fasting as something that is good, beneficial and expected. The book of Acts records believers fasting before making important decisions (Acts 13:4, 14:23). Fasting is often linked to prayer (Luke 2:37, 5:33). We almost always the goal of fasting is the lack of food. Instead, the purpose of fasting should be to take your eyes off the things of this world and focus on God. Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God, and yourself, that you are serious about your relationship with Him Fasting helps you gain a new perspective and a renewed trust in God.When our eyes off the things of this world, we can focus more on Christ. Fasting is not a way to get God to do what we want. Fasting changes us, not God. Fasting is not a way to appear more spiritual than others. Fasting is to be done in a spirit of humility and a joyful attitude.Matthew 6:16-18 declares, "When you fast, do not somber as the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting Truly I tell you, they have their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. "Heb 7:22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.Heb 7:23 And the other priests were many in number, because the death could not continue;Heb 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthoodHeb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God he always lives to intercede for them.Heb 7:26 For such an high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;Heb 7:27 needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once for all when he offered himself.
