VALUE OF TRUTH DEPENDS ON HOW TO VALUE JESUS

VALUE OF TRUTH  DEPENDS ON HOW TO
VALUE JESUS

(John 14:6) "Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Isa 29:13,14) "13 says, therefore the Lord: Because this people draw near me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me, and their fear toward me is the precept of men who have been taught; 14 Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, wonderful and marvelous one shall perish the wisdom of the wise, and will fade the understanding of their ".(Hos 4:1) "Hear the word of the LORD, you Israelites, because the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the earth, for there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the earth."
INTRODUCTIONI will begin by telling you that we are the state of Sonora and then a store manager approached the counter just in time to hear one of their employees told a customer: "For some time there has been here, and it seems that we are not going have for some time. " Horrified, the manager came over to the customer and said: "Of course we will have it soon.'s Just ordered last week." After the client has been withdrawn (with a confused expression on his face), the manager told his worker: "Never, but never tell a client that we have exhausted something. Always tell them that we have ordered and one on the way. Now, do you want lady? " The worker replied: "We were talking about the rain."
A lie may seem like the best way to look good and to get out of a problem, but creates other problems as well, as in this case. When you discover a lie leads to: "What bothers me is not that you lied, but from now on I can no longer believe you."
(Colossians 3:6-10) "6 Things for which the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8 But now ye also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man, which according to the image of its Creator is being renewed in knowledge ".
(Ephesians 4:22-25) "22 As to the former way of life, to put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another ".We have received a new life from God. Christ has clothed in His righteousness, if we believe in Him for forgiveness. Now we are called to get rid of remnants left in us from the old life and live in the new life.
(John 8:44) "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native, he is a liar, and the father of lies ".
Today we consider what the passage tells us: (Colossians 3:9) "Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds." In the world, lying is common. It's how they all get along in the world. Naturally even teach children to lie, when a call comes unwanted, they are told: "Tell him I'm not." Those customs are no longer correct for believers.
But ... Why lie? I can think of two reasons: lie to get something we want, and we lie to look good. Let's look at two biblical examples of people who lied for these reasons, to see how God said to his lies.
We started with a man named Gehazi, the servant of the prophet Elisha. Something wonderful had happened. A man named Naaman, a commander of the army of a neighboring nation Israel, had been cured of his leprosy by Elisha. As a result of this miracle, he acknowledged that the God of Israel is the true God, and even took a load of Israeli land him back to his land in order to worship the Lord there instead of the idols of his people, (2 Kings 5:17) "And Naaman said, I pray thee therefore, how this land will not load your servant two mules? Because henceforth your servant will not offer burnt offering or sacrifice to any god but the Lord. "
When this man left Elisha Naaman, offered sumptuous gifts as a token of their gratitude for the benefits he had received. The prophet, however, completely refused to receive anything for what God had done. Just let him go with his blessing. (2 Kings 5:16) "But he said, The LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it, but he would not. "
Now we come to Gehazi, the servant of Elisha. He heard all this, and thought:(2 Kings 5:20) "My master has been too kind to Naaman.'m Going to go after him to see if I get you something."
Let's read the story now (2 Kings 5:21-24) "21 And Gehazi followed after Naaman, and when Naaman saw him running after him, he alighted from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well? 22 And he said, Well. My master has sent me to tell you have just come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: I pray thee, a talent of silver and two changes of garments. 23 Naaman said, I pray thee, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants and they bare them before him. 24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they ".

Naaman, when initially introduced to Elisha, a man was arrogant and proud. Now, however, it has become poor. When Gehazi recites his story, Naaman kindly gives double the asking. He is grateful to the Lord for what he has done, and see how to afford it here.
Now, think for a moment. What does it cost Naaman to Gehazi give these things? For it would have been a trifle, in comparison with the healing he had received. It did not hurt to give them. Someone could argue that the lie of Gehazi did not cause harm. Let us see if God accepts this thinking. Let us read in verse 25: "And he went in and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Where are you from, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went nowhere."
We might think that the lie of Gehazi had not hurt anyone, but God does not see it that way. He revealed to his servant Elisha had been doing, and as a result of fib, was punished with the dreaded disease of leprosy. Clearly God took very seriously his lie.
But perhaps it is okay to lie, if only to look good. So nobody loses anything, and one avoids problems. We now consider the example of a couple who just wanted to look good. They had come to know the Lord, and were part of the Church in Jerusalem at the beginning. The day of Pentecost had happened not long ago, when the Church was founded on the power of the Holy Spirit.
During this time, there was a great spirit of fellowship and mutual assistance in the church. Several people sold land or property they had for that money was used to benefit the needy in the congregation. One was Barnabas, the man who later would accept Paul after his conversion and accompany him on his first missionary journey. Two people in the congregation saw what was happening, and decided that they too wanted to contribute. They sold a property, but only gave part of the money to the apostles. They kept some of the money, but implied to all who had given the full amount.
I want to see now how God responded to this action of the couple.(Acts 5:1-6) "1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the feet of the apostles . 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and of the price of the land? 4 Whiles, did it not remain your own? and sold, was it not in thine own power? Why did you put this in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God. 5 And Ananias hearing these words, fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard it. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out and buried him. "
We have to understand very well what was the sin of Ananias and Sapphira. His sin was not keep some of the money Peter's words leave this clear. Verse 4 states that both the property and the money was hers to do with them as they saw fit.

No, his sin was lying about what they had done. He says (Acts 5:3) "Why Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?" The sin of lying is aggravated by the fact made within the church where the Holy Spirit was present in the assembled believers.
Why do it? They did it to look good. Ananias did not want the brothers think less of him and Sapphira for not giving all the money, as they had done the other. Instead of saying, "Here is some of the money we receive," he told them that was all. He did it to look good.
We wonder: who was hurt? What harm caused his lie? The worldly perspective says he did nothing. After all, nobody would have noticed even if Peter had not told them anything. However, God is lying was something very serious. It was so severe that took the lives of Ananias as a warning to the congregation.
When he Sapphira, not knowing what had happened, Peter asked if he had sold the property at such a price, and she nodded her husband's lie. Immediately, she fell dead on the spot. What is the lesson? The lesson is that God does not like lies.
Notice something that Peter tells Ananias in verse 3: "Why Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?" Where are the lies? They come from Satan.
The truth is that Satan is the biggest liar of all. In fact, all the problems we face as human beings began in the Garden of Eden with a lie, when Satan told Eve: "Not true, not going to die!" When he, with that lie, she and Adam got sinned against God, destroyed the communion between God and man.
It all started with a lie! In fact, lying is the greatest tool the enemy uses to destroy us. If he can get you to believe his lies, as you have in your possession. The whispers: "Do not go to church today.'re Not going to get anything there. Better stay at rest." Or you say, "There are many women in the world, let your partner and find your own happiness!"
Also says: "Why do you keep being honest? Look at all you have crooked playing! Forget your values and seeks wealth."
If you believe it, you're already in their possession. Look at what Jesus says about Satan (John 8:44) "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native, he is a liar, and the father of lies ".
First, observe his intentions: he is a murderer. He does not want the good for you, but seek your destruction.

Now, what's your weapon? It is a lie - he is the father of lies. That means that if you lend your lips a lie, if you say lies to benefit - as Gehazi - or to look good - like Ananias - who imitate? Who are you giving your lips, really? In fact, you can be like the people Jesus here warns - sons of your father, the devil.
Our God Jehovah is a God of truth. Jesus is the truth - He himself declares (John 14:6) "I am the way, the truth and the life". If you are a follower of Jesus Christ who is the truth, your life must be characterized by a real life too - a life of honesty, transparency, integrity. Lies offer a quick exit, but the real value is incalculable.
CONCLUSIONAnd you, how you live? Do you live in the truth, or vouchers you lie?I called today to make a commitment before God to live the truth, hating the lies - as God hates them - and to be honest at all times.Let us ask the Lord God to transform our hearts to seek the truth and help us assess the truth.
