THE CALL IS TO
PREACH THE SOUND DOCTRINE OF CHRIST(Romans
1:1-7) "1Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated
unto the gospel of God, 2que he promised beforehand through his prophets in the
Holy Scriptures, 3acerca of his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who was
descended from David according to the flesh, 4that was the Son of God in power
according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, 5
through whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith
among all nations
for His name; 6entre whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ, the 7th all
who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace and peace to you
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Paul
the servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel
of God.In
the first verse the Sound Doctrine of Christ revealed through Paul's three very
important things about himself in relation to his ministry: his position as a
servant of Christ, his authority as an apostle of Christ, and power based on
the
fact of having been apart for the gospel of Christ.
PAUL'S POSITION AS
A SERVANT OF JESUS CHRISTServant meant absolute obedience.
The
slave recognizes no law other than the word of his master or lord has no rights
of any kind. It
is absolute possession of his Lord and is linked to total obedience.
It means absolute humility. It's
a word that does not think of their privileges, but in their duties rather than
rights but obligations. It
is a man or woman who has lost her own identity and the identity of Christ
adopted to serve the Lord God. This
also implies absolute loyalty is the attitude of a man or woman who has no
self-interest because it is fully surrendered to God, what God does is
for.
In A.T.
Reference
is made to many of the famous people I speak servants as his servant Abraham
(Gen 26:24) "And the Lord appeared to him that night, and said: I am the God of
Abraham thy father: fear not, because I
am with you and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's
love. "Joshua
is called the Servant of the Lord (Joshua 24:29) "After these things died Joshua
son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, being a hundred and ten
years."Like
David (2 Sam. 7:5) "Go and tell my servant David: Thus saith the Lord: You have
to build me an house for me to dwell in?".And
Isaiah (Isaiah 20:3) "And the Lord said: even as my servant Isaiah hath walked
naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon
Ethiopia".
Even
the Messiah is called God's righteous Servant (Isaiah 53:11) "He shall see the
travail of his soul and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge my righteous
servant will justify many, and he shall bear their
iniquities."
Every
true Christian remnant to Christ and trained military with sound doctrine of
Christ himself wholeheartedly, completely and motivated by love, the divine love
that saved us from sin and death.
THE APOSTLE PAUL AS
AUTHORITYCalled
to be an apostle (Romans 1:1) "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an
apostle, separated unto the gospel of God."
Here
is an extraordinary teaching sound doctrine of Christ through the Apostle Paul
who happens to establish the authority of his ministry, on the basis of what has
been called to be an apostle and the evidence of his call for the fruits as
Jesus says in the
Word: (Mat 7:20) "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."The
volunteered not to exercise that office, nor was elected by fellow believers.
He
received a divine calling from the Lord Jesus Christ
Himself.
Paul,
who was then called Saul, remained blind after his miraculous encounter with
Jesus on the road to Damascus, the Lord said to Ananias referring to Paul (Acts
9:10-20) "10 Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias, whom
the Lord said in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Here am I, Lord. 11
And the Lord said, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and
inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he
prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias
coming in and putting his hands on him to restore his sight. 13
Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much
evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from
the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15
The Lord said unto him, because this is my chosen instrument to carry my name
before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will show
him how much he must suffer for my name. 17
Ananias departed and entered the house, and putting his hands on him said,
Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road as you came, has
sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Spirit Ghost. 18
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it were scales, and he received
sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. 19 And when he had
received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul
certain days with the disciples in Damascus. 20
And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
"
(Acts
26:16-20) "16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared to you to
appoint you a minister and a witness both of the things you've seen, and those
in which I will appear to you ,
17 delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send
thee, 18 To open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the
power of Satan unto God, that they may receive by faith
that is in me, forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified. 19
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but
declared first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the
land of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn
God, doing
works worthy of repentance. "
Paul
was an apostle not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father
who raised him from the dead (Gal. 1:1-10) "1 Paul, an apostle (not from men nor
by man, but by Jesus Christ and
God the Father who raised him from the dead), 2 and all the brothers with me, To
the churches of Galatia:
3
Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave
himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil world, according to
the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory
for ever and ever. Amen.
6
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of
Christ unto another gospel. 7
Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ. 8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what
we have preached, let him be accursed. 9
As we said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel than
that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 But, Do I now persuade men, or
God? Or do I
seek to please men? For
if I yet pleased men, not be the servant of Christ. "
Apostle
is the translation of apostles, basic meaning of a person who is sent.
It
refers to someone who was officially a position to exercise or perform certain
trades as an emissary for or ambassador this word appears in the N. T. sixty-nine
times.
(Acts
14:14-15) "14 When they heard the apostles Barnabas and Paul, they tore their
clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out 15 and saying, Sirs, why do ye
these things? We
also are men of like passions with you, telling you to these vanities unto the
living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them
".
In
a broader sense can refer to all believers, because every believer is sent into
the world as a witness to Christ.
THE POWER OF PAUL
TO BE SECTION FOR THE GOSPEL(Romans
1:1) "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto
the gospel of God." Paul
was called and sent by God as an apostle, his whole life was set apart for the
Lord's service.
(Leviticus
20:26) "And ye shall be holy, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you
from the peoples, that ye should be mine."
*
(Ex 13:12) "devote to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling
that cometh of a beast, the males shall be the Lord".
(Num.
15:20) "The first thing you loved, offer up a cake as an offering, and as the
offering of the threshing floor, so shall offer".
(Num.
8:11-14) "11 and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering
of the children of Israel, and will serve in the ministry of the Lord.
12
And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and offer
the one for a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the LORD, to
make atonement for the Levites. 13
And the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an
offering unto the Lord. 14
Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the
Levites shall be mine. "
Of
the passages Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus and offer words, present, dedicate and
set aside are expressions that translate: point to refer to separation from the
firstborn to be dedicated to God, the offering to God the first fruits, to the
consecration of the
Levites to God and separation of Israel from other villages to God for no reason
could be given some kind of mixture or exchange with Gentile nations or the
sacred with the profane.Gospel
is used as glad tidings, good news is that Jehovah God is willing to save us
from our sins and free us from selfish our burden of guilt, giving meaning to
life in abundance. Gospel
was a common term used in the worship of the emperor, as many of the Caesars
claimed deity for themselves and demanded worship of all subjects of the empire,
either freemen or slaves, rich or poor, famous or unknown.
Favorable
events were proclaimed emperor citizens as good news. The
herald of each population were placed standing in the central square and
exclaimed: good news the Emperor's wife has given birth to a son Good News, the
heir to the Emperor just reached adulthood, and this was all of good
new. The
call to preach the sound doctrine of Christ, Paul wanted to make sure his
readers to understand that the Good News proclaimed by him belonged on a totally
different order, the fact that they belonged to Jehovah God, meaning that
Jehovah God was the source of the advertisement, it
was not good news man, but the good news of God to man.
(2
Corinthians 12:10) "Therefore, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in
shame, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for when I am weak, then
I am strong."Life
is a gift which the Lord God has given us all living beings, including human
beings, in it we have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the creator made.
And
in the course of a true disciple find aspects that cause pain and suffering,
this is part of God's divine design and could not appreciate the good without
having prior knowledge of suffering.
Every
follower of Christ has to wear a cross on his shoulders, a well-defined cross
whose purpose is that our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified exalted and recognized
by us.The
cross represents sacrifice, and our Lord cares not support loading a heavy cross
on his back, giving us a true example of love and giving his life for us, I
think that at this time God has filled us with His Holy Spirit to give us that
value
which is the same God to withstand a reality than it is a cross. The
Lord suffered, suffering, beatings, insults, spitting, physical, THE received
rejection that wanted to kill him on several occasions, received them even
betrayal of his disciples.
The
Lord when he was with his disciples and softened his death and resurrection also
said these words: (Luke 9:23) "And he said to all, If any man will come after
me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
"
Here
we find a challenge to a true disciple of Christ, a true disciple must deny his
own will and that of the world, this is a direct call of the Lord to take the
cross, indicating the lord to give a self-centered life same.
You
my brothers in Christ want to be someone that just warm the pews, they go to
their homes and then return to the congregation and only keep a routine in their
lives or want to be a disciples of the Lord.Because
a disciple is a follower of Christ is one who has been set apart to do a job for
his Lord, we will suffer for the cause of Christ maybe betrayal, shame threats,
beatings, insults, made fun of you but who cares my brother ,
if we are true disciples of the Lord we would expect from this wicked
world.
Unfortunately
this is what we have in our church, sibling groups gathered heated seats, then
there are the judgmental group, then the group of gossips, then those who cause
divisions, and even those who sleep in the services do not wakes
them every avenue, not lighting the light of Christ, the Lord CROSS find it very
heavy, they live short and miserable life is content with little, brothers LORD
God called us to work with Jesus Christ and wants to make a disciple,
and stops heating benches and start doing something for your God where Christ is
the captain because he always goes to the front of every battle. The
CROSS is generally used by people as a symbol of protection from spirits and her
people put their faith.
That
is actually doing the CROSS, the dictionary says it's a badge and sign of
Christianity, but even CROSS represents pain, suffering, struggles, and trials.
We
know the Lord's church we carry on our shoulders our own CRUZ and our journey is
not easy.Our
Lord Jesus Christ when He was holding CROSS tired, his strength waned, but
always over his shoulder in agony but held firm for Christ to a sacrifice for
all of us for all mankind.Being
a disciple of the Lord and then load a CROSS in our life is not easy but our
Lord Jesus Christ paid a price that cost him his life, now we also have to pay
that price, how easy it is to be called a disciple and take it easy without
having a commitment ,
for delivery disciple needs no matter what happens to us or what comes LORD God
is with us.
Paul
was a true disciple of the Lord was not counted among the twelve, but we know
that wine to make one of the disciples who worked more in the Lord's work, and
Sound Doctrine of Christ and all the teachings of Jesus Christ through
Apostle
Paul marked our lives until this time.
The Lord did not send an
angel or an archangel. God
himself called Paul had an encounter with God after Paul's life changed
dramatically because when a person has that true encounter with the living God
is no longer the same, things change, the environment changes, everything
changes and you are not the same Hallelujah Glory to
God.
Paul
was a persecutor of the church and conspirator Bible says that the letters asked
the priests of that time to arrest the disciples of the Lord, (Acts 9) To be a
disciple of the Lord at that time was difficult because rounded them, they put
them to the ratigaban prison, or
killed.We
do not pass even the slightest thing, which passed the first disciples, not just
the pastor greetings and many are leaving the church, or because I looked ugly,
or brother will I criticize the church, these are disciples
in name only this is the kind of modern disciple in these times, are brothers
who have no roots, so do not hold anything and walk from church to church but
they say that they are disciples, (I say in name only) repent, and come
to have a real
encounter with the Lord.
This
is nothing new, of which appear to be disciples and then leave in the time of
Jesus many returned back in other words did not hold the word of the Lord, and
his Sound Doctrine when he says: "Shall ye also go away ?
But a disciple named Peter Simon answered LORD WHO WILL GO IF YOU HAVE WORDS OF
ETERNAL LIFE. "
(John
6:60-68) "60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, This is a hard word who
can hear it? 61
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them,
Does this offend you? 62
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63
It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing: the words that I
speak unto you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you
that believe not. For
Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should
betray him. 65
And he said, Therefore said I unto you that no man can come to me unless it is
granted him from the Father. 66
After this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Simon Peter
answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words
of eternal life. "
At
Lord's DISCIPLES are also called APOSTLES, also CHRISTIANS first in Antioch
(Acts 11:26) "And a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great
many people and the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. "It's
common these days to find Christians, disciples, apostles, teachers, prophets,
evangelists, and pastors in name only.(Revelation
2:2) "I know your deeds, your hard work and patience, and you can not bear those
who say they are APOSTLES (disciples, Christians) and are not, and hast found
them liars." What
are You, my brothers is time to be disciples, true Christians, God has an
eternal payment for you and your family to undertake this work in the Lord
encourage you in the name of Jesus our Lord to use what God has placed in you,
do
not fear what people say about you, just announced the Power of Jesus in your
family, in your neighborhood, with your friends, you're a disciple of the
Lord.
Strongly
Say I AM A DICIPULO THE LORD, say it again I AMA
DICIPULO THE LORD, I AM AN again DICIPULO THE LORD.
(Luke
14:26-27) "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother and wife
and children and brothers and sisters or even his own life, he can der, my
disciple . 27
And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me can not be my disciple.
"
This
is the cost of discipleship, a disciple is on quality not quantity, quality God
comes not by much, the Lord defined the cost of a true disciple, a disciple must
put Christ first before all earthly ties
to their allegiance to Christ.
Jesus
was and remains a role model, a disciple should be a model for others, a
disciple faces rejection, the evidence supports a disciple, a disciple is firm,
is mild, a disciple is patient, a disciple knows forgive,
a disciple judged with fairness and integrity, a disciple cares for others, a
disciple has compassion and a lot of love for others.
