Pentecost without CHRIST!Do we make
Christ a stranger in our midst?
The following is a prophetic warning that occurred at Azusa Street 106 years ago, concerning a Christless Pentecost!
Holy Ghost revival at Azusa Street in Los Angeles, California in 1906. "We can not hold a doctrine, or seek an experience, unless this is in Christ." Many are willing to seek power to do miracles, to draw attention and attract people to worship themselves, robbing Christ of his glory, and doing a show in the flesh. There is a pressing need for true followers of Christ meek and humble. Religious enthusiasm emerges for a short time and then vanishes. The human spirit prevails in the religious spirit, vainglorious. But we stick to our text, Christ.
"Any work that exalts the Holy Spirit or the gifts more than Christ lead toward fanaticism." Anything that makes us exalt and love Jesus is good and safe. The reverse will ruin everything. The Holy Spirit is a great light, but always focused on Jesus, for His revelation. (Col 2:9) "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead (Col 2:10)" And ye are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power. "
"Where the Holy Spirit is in control, Christ is proclaimed as the Head of the Church and He is the Shepherd who are waiting for a voice to come to his call in his second coming, Jesus constituted the pastor as a spiritual guide always leads the green meadows of Jesus Christ always eating fresh bread and he along with the entire herd, staying together in love, there are called to be leaders but called to be servants with joy that the Holy Spirit gives in abundance as a mighty river, Pastor Jesus constituted visit with much love and care of the flock of Jesus Christ because he knows he has to give an accounting of each and also teaches them how to enjoy the freedom and shows the dangers that the Bible teaches us and fables false doctrines. "
This requires no cross, or death to a life of sin and selfish. Therefore it is always popular. " "We can not put the power of the gifts of the Holy Spirit above Jesus, or anything. Any mission that exalts even the Holy Ghost above the Lord Jesus Christ is for the doctrines of error and fanaticism. ""There seems to be a great danger of losing sight of the fact that Jesus was" all in all. "(Col 3:11-14)" 11donde not be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another. We are in danger of underestimating Jesus, "losing in the Temple", for the exaltation of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. Jesus must be the center of everything. "
Take this warning seriously. The danger of a Christless Pentecost is very real today. They say it is possible to gather a group of people full of the Holy Spirit in one place, praising and raising their hands, and even find that Christ walks among them as a stranger!
True, he said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them." (Matt. 18:20). But he may be among them as a stranger! Ignored, unrecognized - even by those who congregate in a name! The Jews gathered in the synagogue every Saturday to talk about his name, and to prophesy of His coming. Praising the name of the Father who had promised his coming. Pronounced the name of the Messiah with awe and reverence. And then he came and walked among them - did not recognize him! He was a perfect stranger!
Christ, a stranger in the midst of a congregation filled with the Spirit? A stranger in the midst of those who pronounce their name, those who worship the Father who sent him? A stranger to singing their hosannas, who call him "Lord, Lord" (Lk 6:46) "Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, 'and not do what I say?"
YES! ABSOLUTELY YES! And not only possible, it is happening today among the chosen of the Lord!
I'll show you three ways we do that Christ is a stranger in our midst! May the Holy Spirit away our spiritual blindness so we can return to see Jesus as he really is, LORD OF ALL!
1. CHRIST DO A STRANGERTO GIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT precedence overChrist, and Christ alone, should be the center of life and worship!
"He is also head of the body, the church, and is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might have the preeminence, because it pleased the Father that in him all the fullness dwell." (Col. 1 18.19) "When the Holy Spirit is at the center of our attention, the church loses its FOCUS! The Holy Spirit descended on Christ, as he left the waters of baptism, and the Father said of Him, "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I have pleased." (Mat 3: 17). The Spirit descended like a dove, but the focus was on the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. No pigeon, but the lamb!
Christ spoke to his disciples about a coming Pentecost, when the Spirit would be poured out for one reason: to be given power to exalt the name of Christ! (Rom 5:3-5) "3 And not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and perseverance, character, and experience, hope: 5 And hope does not disappoint , because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. ""But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit upon you, and you will be my witnesses. . . to the ends of the earth "(Acts 1:8)
And the Lord God always works with a specific purpose in the redemptive work through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus made it clear that when the Holy Spirit came to be drawing attention to himself, but to focus on the words of Christ. The Spirit exalt Christ.(Luke 11:13) "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?".(1Cor 12:28-31) "28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, which of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak LANGUAGES? All interpret?? 31 But covet earnestly the best gifts. But I show you a more excellent way. "(1 Cor 13:13) "And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love."
"But when He, the Spirit of truth. . . not speak on his own ... He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has are mine: therefore said I will take what is mine and declare it to you. "(John 16:13-15)
Jesus said, "The Holy Spirit will show My glory, My power, My kingdom. I remember all my words. "Principal work of the Holy Spirit is not to promote the emotions and euphoria in miracles, but shows us and unites believers as one in Christ. Nor is ecstasy. Nor is it simply teach to speak in other languages. The Spirit has come to exalt Christ! To lead humanity to the truth that Christ is Lord! Not only is the Spirit has brought us closer to each other, MUST closer to Christ!
The fullness of the Spirit is the fullness of Christ. If consumers do not have a love for Christ, you have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit! Christ, the baptizer, sent the Holy Spirit to turn our souls with fire because of a lost humanity, to send into the highways and hedges to reach the lost.To shake loose our lifestyles and get to work on his work. The blessed Holy Spirit is saddened and eventually withdraw instantly when men try to exalt above the Son of God! Do not allow her to be abused by those who only seek the gift, not Christ, who gives gifts!
How is truly a full meeting of the Holy Spirit? Is it where all speak in tongues? Is where the sick are healed? Is where saints jump for joy? Is where saints prophesy? What's more, much more than that! It is where Christ is exalted, where His Holiness penetrates the soul, where men and women falling at his holy throne, broken, humiliated, crying, "Holy, holy, holy." The move of the Holy Spirit is a move toward Christ, deeper in Christ, with greater submission to His Lordship! "
2. CHRIST DO WHEN A STRANGERPRAISE THE PEOPLE WANT BUT WILL NOT PRAY!
We praise a Christ who does not want to pray! We have become a people who pray a lot and little praise. For many believers, the secret place of prayer is a relic of the past. "Why ask God for something that has already promised? You just have to hold on to the promises, and demand answers! "We do not want both to Christ and to the things he can do for us. We want to get away from all pain and suffering.
We want our problems disappear. And we focus both on our escape from the pain that we lose sight of the true meaning of the cross. We refuse crosses and losses - that no Gethsemane for us! No night of agony! Not even know this suffering Christ, bloody risen!
We want your healing power. We want his promises of prosperity. We want your protection. We want more of this world's goods. We wish her joy. But you do not really want only Him!
The church before confessing his sins, CONFESS YOUR RIGHTS NOW!
How many of us serve Him if He did not offer anything more than himself? If there were no healing. No success. Nothing prosperity. No earthly blessing. No miracle, no sign or miracle.What if we were to return to suffer the spoiling of our goods? What if, instead of a quiet life and trouble free, face shipwrecks, fears and struggles? What if instead of a life free from sorrows we suffered mocking and flogging, or if we were stoned or sawn? What if instead of having nice houses and cars, we had to roam the deserts covered with sheepskins, hiding in caves and caverns? What if instead of prosperity, we touched be destitute, persecuted and mistreated? What if the only good thing we were only offered to Christ?Very few of the people of God pray today! The others are so busy working for Jesus who can not speak. The ministers in particular have been so busy doing the work of the Kingdom that are left no time to pray. If there is time to visit, to build, to travel, to take vacations, to attend meetings, for recreation, for reading, for counseling, but no time to pray!
Preachers who do not pray become mere promoters. They become construction managers frustrated. When you lose touch with God, they lose touch with the people and their needs. Preachers who do not pray HAVE YOUR EGO OUT OF CONTROL. They want it all their own way. Substitute for the anointing with sweat.
The evangelists who do not pray become stars, storytellers. They have no humility, so manipulate crowds through emotional tricks. The cry of many pastors is, "Oh, God, where I can find an evangelist who does not care about money, or not selling or promoted something? One who can bring down the sky and make us see Christ in reality! Oh, God, send me a man of prayer that can lead my congregation to the ground, kneeling "The shame of this generation is that we have too many talented men of God and very few people know what it is to touch God in prayer.
And there is even less prayer in the congregation! I agree 100% that there is prayer in schools. But that's not the real problem of God. His problem is to see prayer back into our homes! His problem is to see that his chosen people put to pray! And we would be very hypocritical if we struggle to have prayer in schools and has ceased to pray in your own home!
But do not pray? O, yes! When we lack something. And we have the formula memorized, "... IN THE NAME OF JESUS." He just need to endorse our checks to petition the Father. I'm tired of hearing, "But this is a busy time, I have no time to pray. I'd love to, but really I have no time. "NO! Not lack of time, it is a lack of desire. TIME FOR EVERYTHING WE really interests us.
CHRISTIAN YOUTH LOOK! Wasting hours of time playing video games, lazy, bored, looking for some action! But they have no time to pray! No time for Jesus! Oh, God! Somehow! Somehow! Put this generation of knees! Not only to say the Lord's Prayer, but to have a daily communion with Christ.
Our Savior, who watches over all multiple universes, time is when your orars! Jesus Christ did not take the time to intercede for you before the throne of God (Heb. 7:25) "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God he always lives to intercede for them."And you say you have no time to pray to Him!
We are passionate for Christ who ignore. Let us anywhere, and do anything and everything in your name. But we do not pray. We sang in the choir. We visit the sick and prisoners. But we do not pray. Advise the suffering and needy; spent whole nights awake to comfort a friend, but do not pray. We fight against corruption! We crusades for morality! We protest against nuclear weapons! But we do not pray!
Most of all, do not pray because we do not really work. Prayer is a bloody battlefield! It is a place where victories are won! It is a place where the ego dies! It is a place where a holy God discovers hidden sins! No wonder Satan tries to prevent prayer! A man prays shakes to hell. That man or woman is marked because Satan knows that prayer is the power that crushes his kingdom. Satan is not afraid of holy power hungry, but tremble at the sound of a saint who pray!
3. CHRIST DO A STRANGERMORE POWER WHEN YOUR crave its purity!
If we say a crowd of Christians: "All who seek power, place yourselves at my right. And all who seek purity, place yourselves at my left. "Christian community is divided ten to one in favor of ... POWER!
In the book of Acts, Pentecost was synonymous with purity more than power. Peter told the Council of Jerusalem what God had done in the house of Cornelius, "God, ... giving them the Holy Spirit just as we are; ... purifying their hearts by faith." (Acts 15:8-9)
What is the man or woman of God who has power? Is it the one who heals the sick and raises the dead? Is speaking in tongues and prophesy? Is that attracts more people and build the biggest church? No! The one with the power, which is purity! "The wicked flee when no one pursues, the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)
The prophet Malachi prophesied of a supernatural cleansing that would come to the house of God. "And shall suddenly come to his temple the Lord whom you seek ... But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, and unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:1-3)
This is a dual prophecy. He speaks of the first coming of Christ, and also his second coming! He will come suddenly, like a thief in the night. But first, purify his Church.
We are not ready for the Second Coming of Christ! Is this the Church triumphant? Greedy, full of divorces, depressed, worldly-minded, seeking the material and the successful, competitive, lukewarm, adulterous, rich, rich, poor and ignorant of their spiritual blindness, pleasure-loving, focused on recreation, sports consumed by , politics and power - is this the Church that Christ comes to search? Marking time?, Full of fear and anxiety, as only with good health and happiness?(Rom 9:27,28) "27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For the Lord make upon the earth in thoroughly and quickly. "(Rom 11:5) "So too, at this time there is a remnant chosen by grace."
The Bible says Christ Church searches again for a winner! A church without spot or wrinkle! A people whose mind is set on things above! A people with clean hands and pure hearts. A people who expected his coming! A people with the mind set in a "new Jerusalem."(Ephesians 5:25-27) "25Maridos, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for her, 26 that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. "
The question is no longer, "What else can I give my faith? What miracle will the Lord make me? "The question now is," How do I put before him? How do I go in court? "" Who can stand when he appears? "(Malachi 3:2)
The question is no longer, "How do I feel? How I can be happy? How I can have all the desires of my heart? "The question is," Can I hold that moment when I stand before the judgment seat of Christ? CLEANING will start in the pulpits! "... Purify the sons of Levi." (Malachi 3:3). God is going to do that "raising the temperature". God will make things so hot, so hot, so intense, that men of God will fall on your knees! It is the fire of the Holy Spirit! It is the fire of persecution. It is the fire of tribulation. It is the fire of difficulties, ridicule, scorn and financial problems incredible. It will shake everything that can be moved! You will shiver, and rub, and burn, and cleanse and purify!
No man or woman will be saved cleaning! God is determined to remove all the dirt and filth that is in us. The cleaning will extend from the pulpit to the bench! Prepare saints! God is prepared to discover all sin, all adultery, all foolishness, all pride and arrogance!The Holy Spirit will convict of sin. How do you play games with God when you put in your pot and raise the temperature? God will bring to fireproof your baptism in the Holy Spirit!
Malachi said, "Surely the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts ... "(Malachi 4:1)
God also promises to tear down the strongholds of the enemy! Once and for all will let the devil and the world know who has the power!
Yes, God is about to do things that the prophets spoke, more glorious future THAT ARE AHEAD!
A ministry clean, purified!.A church called by God to repentance and holiness.A people washing, cleaning, offering praises in true justice.A revival among our youth! The strengths of drugs undone! Alcoholism and divorce no longer prevalent among the people of God.The sound of prayer, intercession!.A discerning God's people between the holy and the impure!.Everywhere God's people back to the Word.A proven people, dedicated to the Person of Jesus Christ.Jesus, exalted to draw all men unto Him.10. We praise a Christ who does not want to pray! We have become a people who pray a lot and little praise. For many believers, the secret place of prayer is a relic of the past. "Why ask God for something that has already promised? You just have to hold on to the promises, and demand answers! "We do not want both to Christ and to the things he can do for us. We want to get away from all pain and suffering.
We want our problems disappear. And we focus both on our escape from the pain that we lose sight of the true meaning of the cross. We refuse crosses and losses - that no Gethsemane for us! No night of agony! Not even know this suffering Christ, bloody risen!
We want your healing power. We want his promises of prosperity. We want your protection. We want more of this world's goods. We wish her joy. But you do not really want only Him!
The church before confessing his sins, CONFESS YOUR RIGHTS NOW!
How many of us serve Him if He did not offer anything more than himself? If there were no healing. No success. Nothing prosperity. No earthly blessing. No miracle, no sign or miracle.What if we were to return to suffer the spoiling of our goods? What if, instead of a quiet life and trouble free, face shipwrecks, fears and struggles? What if instead of a life free from sorrows we suffered mocking and flogging, or if we were stoned or sawn? What if instead of having nice houses and cars, we had to roam the deserts covered with sheepskins, hiding in caves and caverns? What if instead of prosperity, we touched be destitute, persecuted and mistreated? What if the only good thing we were only offered to Christ?Very few of the people of God pray today! The others are so busy working for Jesus who can not speak. The ministers in particular have been so busy doing the work of the Kingdom that are left no time to pray. If there is time to visit, to build, to travel, to take vacations, to attend meetings, for recreation, for reading, for counseling, but no time to pray!
Preachers who do not pray become mere promoters. They become construction managers frustrated. When you lose touch with God, they lose touch with the people and their needs. Preachers who do not pray HAVE YOUR EGO OUT OF CONTROL. They want it all their own way. Substitute for the anointing with sweat.
The evangelists who do not pray become stars, storytellers. They have no humility, so manipulate crowds through emotional tricks. The cry of many pastors is, "Oh, God, where I can find an evangelist who does not care about money, or not selling or promoted something? One who can bring down the sky and make us see Christ in reality! Oh, God, send me a man of prayer that can lead my congregation to the ground, kneeling "The shame of this generation is that we have too many talented men of God and very few people know what it is to touch God in prayer.
And there is even less prayer in the congregation! I agree 100% that there is prayer in schools. But that's not the real problem of God. His problem is to see prayer back into our homes! His problem is to see that his chosen people put to pray! And we would be very hypocritical if we struggle to have prayer in schools and has ceased to pray in your own home!
But do not pray? O, yes! When we lack something. And we have the formula memorized, "... IN THE NAME OF JESUS." He just need to endorse our checks to petition the Father. I'm tired of hearing, "But this is a busy time, I have no time to pray. I'd love to, but really I have no time. "NO! Not lack of time, it is a lack of desire. TIME FOR EVERYTHING WE really interests us.
CHRISTIAN YOUTH LOOK! Wasting hours of time playing video games, lazy, bored, looking for some action! But they have no time to pray! No time for Jesus! Oh, God! Somehow! Somehow! Put this generation of knees! Not only to say the Lord's Prayer, but to have a daily communion with Christ.
Our Savior, who watches over all multiple universes, time is when your orars! Jesus Christ did not take the time to intercede for you before the throne of God (Heb. 7:25) "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God he always lives to intercede for them."And you say you have no time to pray to Him!
We are passionate for Christ who ignore. Let us anywhere, and do anything and everything in your name. But we do not pray. We sang in the choir. We visit the sick and prisoners. But we do not pray. Advise the suffering and needy; spent whole nights awake to comfort a friend, but do not pray. We fight against corruption! We crusades for morality! We protest against nuclear weapons! But we do not pray!
Most of all, do not pray because we do not really work. Prayer is a bloody battlefield! It is a place where victories are won! It is a place where the ego dies! It is a place where a holy God discovers hidden sins! No wonder Satan tries to prevent prayer! A man prays shakes to hell. That man or woman is marked because Satan knows that prayer is the power that crushes his kingdom. Satan is not afraid of holy power hungry, but tremble at the sound of a saint who pray!
3. CHRIST DO A STRANGERMORE POWER WHEN YOUR crave its purity!
If we say a crowd of Christians: "All who seek power, place yourselves at my right. And all who seek purity, place yourselves at my left. "Christian community is divided ten to one in favor of ... POWER!
In the book of Acts, Pentecost was synonymous with purity more than power. Peter told the Council of Jerusalem what God had done in the house of Cornelius, "God, ... giving them the Holy Spirit just as we are; ... purifying their hearts by faith." (Acts 15:8-9)
What is the man or woman of God who has power? Is it the one who heals the sick and raises the dead? Is speaking in tongues and prophesy? Is that attracts more people and build the biggest church? No! The one with the power, which is purity! "The wicked flee when no one pursues, the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)
The prophet Malachi prophesied of a supernatural cleansing that would come to the house of God. "And shall suddenly come to his temple the Lord whom you seek ... But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, and unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:1-3)
This is a dual prophecy. He speaks of the first coming of Christ, and also his second coming! He will come suddenly, like a thief in the night. But first, purify his Church.
We are not ready for the Second Coming of Christ! Is this the Church triumphant? Greedy, full of divorces, depressed, worldly-minded, seeking the material and the successful, competitive, lukewarm, adulterous, rich, rich, poor and ignorant of their spiritual blindness, pleasure-loving, focused on recreation, sports consumed by , politics and power - is this the Church that Christ comes to search? Marking time?, Full of fear and anxiety, as only with good health and happiness?(Rom 9:27,28) "27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For the Lord make upon the earth in thoroughly and quickly. "(Rom 11:5) "So too, at this time there is a remnant chosen by grace."
The Bible says Christ Church searches again for a winner! A church without spot or wrinkle! A people whose mind is set on things above! A people with clean hands and pure hearts. A people who expected his coming! A people with the mind set in a "new Jerusalem."(Ephesians 5:25-27) "25Maridos, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for her, 26 that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. "
The question is no longer, "What else can I give my faith? What miracle will the Lord make me? "The question now is," How do I put before him? How do I go in court? "" Who can stand when he appears? "(Malachi 3:2)
The question is no longer, "How do I feel? How I can be happy? How I can have all the desires of my heart? "The question is," Can I hold that moment when I stand before the judgment seat of Christ? How can I bear, when I lived so carelessly, so selfishly, neglect so great salvation? "The central issue has nothing to do with this world. The thing is, I have ignored Christ in this midnight hour?
CLEANING will start in the pulpits! "... Purify the sons of Levi." (Malachi 3:3). God is going to do that "raising the temperature". God will make things so hot, so hot, so intense, that men of God will fall on your knees! It is the fire of the Holy Spirit! It is the fire of persecution. It is the fire of tribulation. It is the fire of difficulties, ridicule, scorn and financial problems incredible. It will shake everything that can be moved! You will shiver, and rub, and burn, and cleanse and purify!
No man or woman will be saved cleaning! God is determined to remove all the dirt and filth that is in us. The cleaning will extend from the pulpit to the bench! Prepare saints! God is prepared to discover all sin, all adultery, all foolishness, all pride and arrogance!The Holy Spirit will convict of sin. How do you play games with God when you put in your pot and raise the temperature? God will bring to fireproof your baptism in the Holy Spirit!
Malachi said, "Surely the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts ... "(Malachi 4:1)
God also promises to tear down the strongholds of the enemy! Once and for all will let the devil and the world know who has the power!
Yes, God is about to do things that the prophets spoke, more glorious future THAT ARE AHEAD!
A ministry clean, purified!.A church called by God to repentance and holiness.A people washing, cleaning, offering praises in true justice.A revival among our youth! The strengths of drugs undone! Alcoholism and divorce no longer prevalent among the people of God.The sound of prayer, intercession!.A discerning God's people between the holy and the impure!.Everywhere God's people back to the Word.A proven people, dedicated to the Person of Jesus Christ.Jesus, exalted to draw all men unto Him.10. Christ, no longer a stranger in our midst, but CORONADO,
Preeminent.
11. A Pentecost that truly exalts the name and power of
Jesus Christ, Lord of all.
